As you know we have been lucky enough to buy some iPad 2s for school recently. The Apple App Store has thousands and thousands of apps, some of which are amazing and some which are dreadful.
Unfortunately, deciding which apps are good and which aren’t is very difficult to do and very time-consuming.
So, please spend some time working in pairs to evaluate some different iPad apps.
To do this, choose any app, spend some time using it and learning what it can do. Then, answer the following questions using the comments button on this blog post. Remember to write in full sentences:
What is the app called?
What does it do?
What do you like about the app?
What do you dislike about the app?
How could we use it in school?
Which year groups do you think it is most suited for?
Should we keep the app or delete it?
Would you recommend it to a friend?
Once you have answered all of the questions, choose another app and start again. Thanks for your help!

Wipeout it tests you on your times tables it helps me with my times tables I don’t like that it’s just tests us on maths we could help people who struggle whith maths . It is suitable for year 4 , 5 and 6 we should keep the app because it will be fun and you will get more time to play with them.I would recommend It to a friend .

The app is called GarageBand. It lets you play musical instruments and helps in science if your learning about sound.What I like about the app is that it links with our topic and I like music. What we dislike about the app is that there is three instruments now but they’re smart instruments.We could use it in school for all topics in class also teachers can search the web.Woth that teachers can show what is on the big board they can show it on the iPads.The suitable classes for the iPads are year 3 to year 6.We should keep the app.Yes we should show it to friends.

The app was garage band.
It makes lOts of diffrent noises.
I like everything about the app specilly the piano.
I don’t dislike anything about the app.
We could use it when tim and dave come in to teach year 5 about there sound topic.
I think that it will suit year5 because their topic is ‘Ear we go’.
I suggest that we should keep the app because it is very enjoyable.
I would recommend it to a friend.

The app we went on is called puppet pals. It lets us play whith puppets.I think it needs to let us choose a bit more charecters.I like the app because you can even record your one voice.We could use it in school because year 5 are learning about sounds.I think year 4,5,6.I think we should keep it.I would recomend it to all my friends.

The app is named Monty’s Quest.It test’s you whith your timestable’s if you get the answer wright the mouse go’s up the hill to it’s cheese.What we like about the app is that it is fun and helpfull.What we disliked about the app was it did not have a timer.We could use it in school by using it juring math’s lesson’s.In my opinion I think that the year groups it suits are year 4′s,5′s and 6′s.I think we should keep the app because it is helpful and it help’s whith math’s lessons.I would recommend it to a friend because some suit to different year group’s.

The app is called epic citadel.
You have to take picture and that’s all.
I like it and I wouldn’t recommend it to a friend.

The app is called I movie. It basically makes a movie.I like it because it use good things and it is really good. We could use it in school because it would be good for other people. I think it suited for year 4,5,and 6.We should keep the app because it will be fun. Yes I would recommend it to a friend.

The app is called photo booth.It takes pictures in diffrent ways.I like the app because it’s funny.I don’t like it because you can make goofy faces.Its fun so Mabeyin golden time they can explore it.4,5,6 can use it.we should keep it.Yes I will recomend it to a friend because it is funny.

The app is called Hungry fish.A bubble appear’s whith a number inside it and the fish eat’s it up.What we like about the app is it is helpfull and interesting.We dislike about the app that it dos’nt have any challenging number’s.We can use it in school by using it in math’s and for those people who have addition problem’s.I think it is suited for year 1′s and 2′s.
